Dr. Shamsi has been practicing for 20+ years. He finished his residency at Allegheny University hospital in 1998. He received his board certification in Psychiatry in 1999. He has been involved in inpatient and outpatient psychiatry since then.
Dr. Shamsi has refined his skills in pharmacotherapy by treating thousands of patients over the last so many years. Dr Shamsi treats patients over 14 years of age with Depressive Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Attention Deficit Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Eating Disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Sleep – Wake Disorder, Disruptive, Impulse Control and Conduct Disorder, Medication Induced Movement Disorder, and some substance abuse disorders.
Dr. Shamsi is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Shamsi believes that no two individuals are the same, and he always takes a unique approach for every patient by doing comprehensive evaluations and formulating a unique treatment plan.
